"My Research Data and I", Part 2 – Tools and Services at KIT [ONLINE-SEMINAR]
The workshop will be held in English.
Parallel to professional competences (research phase), the planning of research projects (pre-research phase) and the handling and publication (post-research phase) of research results (including research data) are among the integral key competences of researchers. At all stages, competent use of RDM proves essential for disseminating research results and thus for a career in science and research.
Complementary to the RDM course "My research data and I", Part 1 – Basics of Research Data Management (prior attendance is highly recommended), this training event will focus on the practical application of RDM and introduce cross-disciplinary RDM services at KIT. Along the research data lifecycle, tools such as Research Data Management Organiser (RDMO), Registry of Research Data Repositories (re3data) and the generic research data repository RADAR4KIT support researchers in the daily handling of their research data. Initially, a brief summary of the RDM basics followed by an exemplary demonstration of the three services, partly supplemented by short exercises, illustrates how to use them.
This workshop is open to doctoral researchers and postdocs at KIT who are KHYS members.
The workshop will be held in English.
Technical requirements: To participate in this workshop, you need a stable internet connection, a webcam and a microphone. Participants will receive further detailed information regarding the online-platform prior to the workshop.
