Project Duration: October 2014 – October 2015
The "PopWiss.Net – Database for Popular Science" project aims to develop an information system for science communication that documents the popular science activities of researchers across all disciplines. This includes lectures, radio and TV segments, newspaper articles, nonfiction books, blogs, children’s university programs, etc. In the one-year preliminary project, which began in October 2014, decisions will be made regarding media formats, a possible thematic scope, the time frame, workflow principles, metadata structure, and the business model. In the main project planned to follow, the publicly accessible service “PopWiss.Net” will then be developed in concrete terms.
