Reservation for the Lecture Hall at the KIT Library South

The lecture hall on the 3rd floor of the new wing of the KIT Library South can be reserved by AStA-registered student groups or KIT institutions upon request for larger events with an academic focus.

Information on Room Use

  • The lecture hall on the 3rd floor of the new KIT Library South may be used for courses with an academic focus (up to approximately 50 people) by a university group registered with the AStA or a KIT institution. Use for private or commercial purposes is not permitted.
  • It is recommended to reserve the hall well in advance, especially during the semester.
  • The hall can only be reserved for one-time courses; reservations for regularly scheduled courses (weekly, monthly, etc.) are not permitted.
  • The terms of use for the lecture hall must be observed. In particular, please note that food and beverages (except water) are prohibited in the lecture hall. The terms of use for the lecture hall can be found here.
  • There is no charge.

 

Reservation Information

  • Reservations are made via the online reservation request form.
  • The lecture hall door is unlocked using the KIT Card of a person from your group who is responsible for the course. Therefore, the library requires this person’s name, cell phone number (for emergencies), and KIT Card number.
  • Please note that for reservations on weekends, holidays, or on weekdays after 6:00 p.m., only participants with a KIT Card that has been authorized for the KIT Library are permitted to remain in or enter the library premises.
