KIT Catalog
The KIT catalog includes over 1.2 million print and electronic resources from the KIT Library, as well as some from other KIT libraries. You can search for journals, but not for individual articles—for that, use “Essays & Papers” or the databases.
Articles and Papers
"Articles and Papers" provides credentials for over 100 million items, primarily essays and articles, with direct full-text access or the ability to check availability at a specific location. Titles can also be requested through interlibrary loan.
KITopen Repository
The KITopen Repository catalog contains publications (books, articles, presentations, etc.) by KIT researchers. For some of these publications, you will find not only the bibliographic information but also the freely accessible full text.
KITopen Media Portal
The KITopen Media Portal offers online lectures, radio programs, TV recordings, and other audio and video productions from KIT. For copyright reasons, some content is accessible only on the KIT network or on library computers.
re3data.org
The Registry of Research Data Repositories (re3data.org) lists research data repositories across all disciplines and types of research data. The repositories are characterized by a detailed metadata schema. Various icons provide a quick overview of the key features of each repository.
Karlsruhe Virtual Catalog (KVK)
The Karlsruhe Virtual Catalog (KVK) is a meta-search engine that indexes several hundred million media items in library and bookstore catalogs worldwide.
Karlsruhe Library Portal
The Karlsruhe Library Portal is a meta-search engine for all scientific and public libraries in Karlsruhe.
Google Scholar
Google Scholar is a search engine for academic literature such as essays, articles, and books. If the institution is selected correctly (KIT, HKA, DHBW-KA), licensed full-text versions are sometimes linked directly.
Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB)
The Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB) contains full-text, open-access monographs from all academic disciplines. Titles listed here must undergo a peer-review process to ensure quality control.
