KIT supports its authors in Open Access publishing in a variety of ways. For initial publication in purely Open Access journals, funding can be provided through the KIT Publication Fund. Agreements between KIT Library and various publishers enable KIT members to publish under the Open Access model at no additional cost. Publications that are not published as first publications in Open Access can be published as secondary publications in Green Open Access via the KITopen repository. Articles and full-text versions are cataloged in KITopen, are thus included in various monitoring and reporting processes, and can be reused by authors through various services.
