KIT Scientific Publishing (KSP), the university press of KIT, offers its members a platform for publishing quality-assured scientific books. It supports its authors throughout their book projects—from planning through publication to promoting visibility on international platforms and in specialty bookstores. The publisher assists editors with the publication of anthologies and conference proceedings, as well as with the publication of book series.

KSP handles the design of the cover and title page, assigns International Standard Book Numbers (ISBN) and Digital Object Identifiers (DOI), and ensures availability in the webshop and in the KITopen repository. All books in the publishing program can be ordered in print via the print-on-demand process and are listed in subject-specific databases, in bookstores, and in the KIT Library catalog.

Monographs

Monographs will be given a custom cover in consultation with you.

Edited Volumes

Edited volumes will receive a custom cover in consultation with you.
Typesetting services are available upon request. Please contact us for the terms and conditions.
A wide variety of document templates are available to you.
Our team will be happy to advise you on layout questions.
To ensure optimal distribution and visibility, we extract the individual contributions from the volume and assign them their own DOI.

Conference Proceedings

The research results presented at the conference will be widely disseminated and made visible worldwide. Each conference paper will also be extracted from the proceedings volume and assigned its own DOI.

Two ways to publish:

The conference proceedings are submitted by the editors as a finished document in consultation with KSP.
KSP offers additional services for the publication of the conference proceedings, provides support with organization and quality assurance workflows (peer review), and handles typesetting and layout.

Book Series

KSP publishes many books and conference proceedings in series produced in collaboration with KIT institutes. If you are interested in establishing a series, the KSP team is happy to answer any questions you may have.
