Due to cleaning works, the reading rooms in KIT-Bibliothek Süd will be successively closed from December 15 to December 23, 2025. The study spaces in the affected reading rooms will not be accessible during the cleaning work. There may be delays in the delivery of book requests from the reading rooms to the self pick-up shelf.

The BMFTR project "Diamond Thinking" was successfully completed on schedule in August 2025. KIT Scientific Publishing (KSP) is continuing the publication services developed during the project on a permanent basis.

This year's EPICUR Staff Week for library staff took place in Poznań, Poland, at the end of May. It was hosted by the Adam Mickiewicz University Library (AMU).

Under the motto “Show me your data!”, the KIT library has developed a guideline for publishing research data, which provides a practical introduction to the publication of research data for researchers at KIT. 

On Campus Day / Open Day on May 17, 2025, the KIT Library will offer a special highlight: "OA-poly", a hands-on game on the topic of scientific publishing.
