"Together in the Library", Campaign Month, November 1–30, 2026

Loneliness is widespread in our society. It can affect anyone, regardless of age or life circumstances. This makes places that bring us back together all the more important. Public and scientific libraries are exactly those kinds of places: You can visit them time and again, meet people, have conversations, and feel like you belong—all without any pressure to buy anything.
That is why KIT Library is participating in the “Together in the Library” campaign month in November 2026. Together with the Federal Ministry for Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMBFSFJ) and the German Library Association (dbv), we want to encourage people in our library to engage with others, strengthen our sense of community, and talk about loneliness.
Our offerings for the "Together in the Library" campaign month in November:
- Hands-on Activities & Courses
- Poster exhibition on the topic
- Book recommendations from our collection in the Topic Corner (ground floor, old building, KIT Library South)
