This collaborative project of the TU9 libraries supports the transformation of the publishing system toward open access by developing sustainable, innovative models for operating future-proof, integrated open-access infrastructures for open-access books at various TU9 library locations.
At its core, the project aims to develop different service levels tailored to local needs and available resources. The KIT Library is leading the project and already has extensive experience in the field of open-access monograph publishing through its partnership with KIT Scientific Publishing.
Among other things, the project is based on a co-publishing model with Ubiquity Press, the science-focused publishing partner of KIT Publishing.
