Project Duration: April 2022 – March 2023

The goal of this collaborative project is to virtually merge the collections of the Badische Landesbibliothek and the KIT Library in the field of the history of education in Baden. The project focuses on digitizing monographs, periodicals, and ephemera—such as school programs, teachers’ journals, and textbooks—as well as founding documents of the Polytechnic School, theses by its students, and chronicles of Karlsruhe’s student fraternities and sororities. The collections selected for digitization (95,500 images) are intended to facilitate a comprehensive scholarly examination of this subject area.
