This was the third time the KIT Library participated in the Karlsruhe “Dreck-weg-Wochen” cleanup campaign. This year, the library team received support from the House of Competence (HoC), the Sustainability Office, and KIT’s Corporate Communications department. Together, the dedicated staff spent about 1.5 hours picking up trash on the Campus South.

The BMFTR project “Diamond Thinking” at KIT was successfully completed on schedule in August 2025. KIT Scientific Publishing (KSP) is seamlessly continuing the journal publication services developed as part of the project, including the launch of new journals and the transition of existing journals to open access.

The full-day workshop combines an in-depth presentation by the Prevention Unit of the Karlsruhe Police Headquarters with a practical self-defense course titled “Defend Yourself—But Do It Right!”

The libraries of the Alliance of Leading Technical Universities in Germany (TU9) are continuing their collaboration on information literacy education this winter term 2025/26 and are once again offering selected online seminars to interested students and researchers from partner institutions.
