Project Duration: January 1, 2022 – December 31, 2027

Through its “Open Access Publication Costs” program, the DFG supports the transition to open access. Open access enables free access to scientific literature and thereby promotes scientific communication. Transparent funding streams are necessary to optimize the transition of the publication system to open access. The project will develop and implement organizational and technical structures to track KIT’s publication costs at the KIT Library. The DFG supports this initiative with financial grants for the KIT Publication Fund, through which KIT authors can apply for funding for their Open Access journal articles.
