FAIRsFAIR "Fostering FAIR Data Practices In Europe"

Project Duration: March 2019 – February 2022

FAIRsFAIR develops and implements practical solutions for applying the FAIR principles throughout the entire lifecycle of research data. The focus is on promoting a FAIR data culture and adopting best practices for generating FAIR research data. FAIRsFAIR will play a key role in developing global standards for the FAIR certification of repositories and the data they contain. The project will contribute to the guidelines and processes—and thus to a functioning infrastructure—of the EOSC program.

Ultimately, FAIRsFAIR will serve as a platform for the application and implementation of the FAIR principles in the day-to-day work of European research data providers and repository operators. FAIRsFAIR will also provide key elements of the Rules of Participation (RoP) and the regulatory requirements for participation in the EOSC. The EOSC governance structure will use these adapted RoPs to evaluate the infrastructure components.
