Project Duration: September 1, 2023 – August 31, 2025

The “Diamond Thinking” project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) (September 2023 through August 2025) and aims to establish relevant, high-quality scientific journals for all major disciplines at KIT or to transition existing commercial journals into the academic publishing system (“flipping”). To this end, discussions are being held through various channels and with different stakeholders at KIT to convince them of the need to return the dissemination of scientific content to the academic community.

KIT’s in-house academic publishing house and the KIT Library, together with their research-oriented co-publishing partners, offer high-quality and efficient dissemination platforms as well as relevant expertise in all aspects of academic publishing. This project is giving rise to a multi-tiered service model for Diamond Open Access journals: DONAU4KIT.
