DILPS/Media Edition is a DFG-funded project of the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG) and the KIT Library. The project involves the development of a digital library capable of managing and providing a virtual e-research infrastructure for multimedia objects and research data, primarily in media-based work environments (Media Solution), for researchers across various disciplines. The project builds on the Digital Image Library Processing System, which has been under development at the HfG Karlsruhe since 2000.

As part of the project, a partnership was established with FIZ Karlsruhe to ensure open and long-term access to the research data and the wider dissemination of the Media Solution within the academic community. DILPS/M is being implemented as an application of the integrated e-research infrastructure for network-based scholarly work (eSciDoc).
