The Karlsruhe Nuclear Research Center (known as the Research Center from 1995 onward) maintained a photo department that documented the visual history of this major research institution. The photographic collection, created between 1956 and 2006, is housed in the KIT Archive. Of the approximately 210,000 photographs, 10% have been digitized, cataloged, and made available in the German Digital Library and the Archivportal D.
