SciFlow Scientific Text Editor
KIT Library supports the use of SciFlow, a text editor for scientific publications. Customers of KIT Scientific Publishing can import a pre-formatted Word document into SciFlow. Document templates are available for monographs and conference proceedings, in DIN A5 (17 x 24) and DIN A4 formats. If you are interested in this option, please contact info∂ksp.kit.edu directly.
Good to know: KIT students and researchers can create their own SciFlow account and work with the text editor. After entering the text into the editor, you can generate not only a PDF (PDF/UA standard) but also an EPUB. The document templates provided by KIT Scientific Publishing for monographs and conference proceedings are available in the formats DIN A5, 17 x 24, and DIN A4. This means that at the end of the writing process—which can also be collaborative—a document can be generated in the desired format that complies with the publisher’s layout specifications. This saves time-consuming formatting work and is a convenient and effective tool, especially for users of reference management systems.
Information on working with the text editor can be found on the SciFlow website under the “Resources” and “Articles” divisions. Please also refer to the recorded webinars for students and researchers at KIT.
