New exhibition in the foyer of KIT Library Campus South: "200 Years of KIT - 100 Objects"
As part of the KIT anniversary, KIT Library is showing a satellite exhibition to the main exhibition "200 Years of KIT - 100 Objects. Parts of a Whole", which runs from April 12 to October 19, 2025 at the ZKM | Center for Art and Media as well as online.
The exhibition in the showcases in the foyer of the Campus South library presents a selection of objects that shed light on various facets of student life at KIT - from everyday objects to forms of protest and historical testimonies.
One special exhibit is a gallows rope that was sent to the university administration in 1979 in the course of the dissolution of the General Student Committee (AStA) - a drastic gesture that was answered by the recipient with remarkable composure. Today, this piece is an impressive testimony to student university politics.
Visit the exhibition and discover the stories behind the objects - in the foyer of the KIT Library Campus South!
