Diamond Thinking

The BMFTR project “Diamond Thinking”, which started in September 2023, was successfully completed on schedule in August 2025. All planned work packages and milestones were successfully achieved.

KIT Scientific Publishing (KSP) will permanently continue the publishing services developed during the project phase. This includes both the founding of new journals and the “flipping” of existing journals into an open-access model. As a result, a reliable infrastructure is now available for editors, enabling sustainable scholarly publishing.

The integration of the project results, including the adoption of developed workflows and consultation strategies, into KSP’s regular operations is part of the “From Project to Product” strategy. Moving forward, KSP will focus on offering more flexible publishing services and providing both current and prospective editors with greater autonomy and freedom of choice.
