After the Master's at the KIT library?
The KIT Library offers a traineeship for the higher library service starting October 1, 2026. The call for applications is aimed at applicants with a master's degree in engineering or natural sciences (especially chemistry) or in law.
The library traineeship lasts two years and consists of a practical year at the KIT library and a subsequent theoretical year of training at the Bavarian Library Academy in Munich.
Academic librarians work at the interface between research, teaching and the library. Their tasks include activities in library management, publication and research data management and the teaching of information skills.
The training takes place as part of the traineeship program of the state of Baden-Württemberg. Application and selection procedure and course of training
