Gaming meets Open Access: KIT Library's OApoly now on Zenodo
In the game, players slip into the role of researchers and experience how scientific results can be made visible and a reputation built at the same time. OApoly teaches the basics of open access, academic publishing and the services of academic libraries. The game is suitable for teaching information literacy, for public relations work and for training or onboarding (new) library employees.
After 18 months of concept development, elaboration, test games and initial use at various courses - from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) Open Day to the Open Access Days 2025 in Konstanz - OApoly has now been published and is freely accessible:
Would you like to try out OApoly for yourself?
Then visit us at the 114th BiblioCon on Wednesday, May 20, from 5-6 p.m. in the #Freiraum.
